Carmen was born the 26th of August 1972 in San Antonio, Texas. She attended school in the local area and graduated high school in 1991.
After graduation. she and her significant other had two children, Daniel and Daniela. Their relationship ended after her second child was born and she was left to raise her two kids with the occasional support from their biological dad.
Carmen had her personal intrest in mind but would always provide for her children. She 's head strong and stubburn but that is just her personality.
Although Carmen led a lifestyle not conducive to the ideal single parent profile, she did mean well and would never intentionally put her children in harm's way. At least, that's one person's opinion.
Due to this lifestyle, Carmen drew distant from our family and eventually became estranged 3 years ago. I personally hadn't spoken or heard from her for the same amount of time but heard, through others about her and the kids. I was satisfied just to know that someone was in communication with her and that she was doing fine.
Her favorite passtime is playing pool and was very active, before her disappearance, playing on a team for a local bar. Apparently she draws audiences, so she is pretty darn good.
She’s been missing for
some time now, but there is still no sign of Carmen Mares.
Her friends and family are desperate for answers and setting out to search themselves.
They held their second fundraiser and will use the money as a cash reward in exchange for information on Mares’ whereabouts.
On Saturday, the American Pool Players Association organized a pool tournament. The money raised will go to the Help Find Carmen Mares Fund.
Mares was an avid pool player, so many of her friends and colleagues turned up for the event.
She was last seen at a bar on Zarzamora giving a stranger a ride home.
Her mother has been relentless in trying to find her missing daughter. She refuses to give up and says her daughter’s 1996 white Mitsubishi Galant is crucial in the investigation.
“If anybody knows any information as to whether they’ve seen that car, it may not have the same license plates that we originally thought, but this car makes a lot of noise; it sounds like a lawnmower,” she said.
The San Antonio Police Department has classified Mares as a missing adult, however there is no evidence of foul play.
The family encourages anyone with information to call police or to go to their Web site at carmenmares.org.
